25th Jan 2009 Cadwell Park

Today was the first time GMP Motorsport and Gary Parkes had driven the new Citroen saxo vtr and first impressions are that it should be quite quick.  The day started of with it raining so we took it easy just to get used to the car.  In the afternoon the track started to dry and Gary started to pick up the pace a bit.  After completing a trial race distance the car was checked over and we went back out on track.  This time as gary was flat out in fourth gear the gear box decided to let go putting a large hole in the casing.  So the next job is to replace the box and carry on our testing programme in February.
