750mc Locost, This car was built from scratch in 2007 using the very best components we could possibly get to use in the championship, The chassis was a brand new Luego which has had all of the necessary modifications to make the car handle the best it can. The suspension benfits from polybush’s and brand new this season Gaz adjustable dampers that have been dyno’d and setup by Procomp motorsport. The roll cage is the Caged fully welded cage. The car has just been fitted with a brand new engine up to the championship spec inc GT valves, P103/104 Kent cam brand new 90thou pistons fully blue printed bottom end. The fuel tank is a alloy racing fabrications baffled and sumped one with a low pick up to avoid fuel starvation. Also fitted is a new GT gearbox. The car also benfits from a ETB Digi dash and datalogger £750 alone.

GMP Motorsport has taken the decision to sell the 2008 locost and withdraw from the championship this year. In 2009 GMP Motorsport will be competing in the highly competative stock hatch championship in a Citroen Saxo VTR prepared by ourselves keep watching over the next week as we will be adding a new build diary.

GMP Motorsport now have a qualified ARDS/MSA instructor working with the team. Gary has been involved in racing activities for nine years and has experience of saloon cars and open top racing. We will announce more information over the next 4 weeks.
Over the winter GMP Motorsport has assisted with the maintenance and set-up of Victoria Pickles Locost (VIPA Racing) hopefully with experience and a new set-up Vicky will be pushing for top ten finish's this season.
GMP Motorsport will also be at selected Stock Hatch events assisting Franklin Motorsport in there Arrive and Drive venture.
In 2008 GMP Motorsport will be supported by Cobra Engineering.
